As you are already aware Grove Vale School will not be available to us from Saturday, 24th July to Friday 3rd September, due to refurbishments.

Alternative arrangements have been made and we shall be rehearsing at The Beacon Church Centre in Collingwood Drive Great Barr. We shall actually be in the church but there is plenty of room to rehearse.

The Address is Beacon Church Centre, Collingwood Drive Great Barr Birmingham B43 7JL.

From Junction 7 of the M6 travel towards the Scott Arms. Then turn left (or right if you are coming from Birmingham) into Queslett Road. Continue over the first island (Asda Store). At the next island take the left hand turn. This is Collingwood Drive. The Centre is on the first island. (You may have a Sat Nav)

There is a small car park at the Centre but there is also parking outside the shops on the opposite side of the road. In addition, there is plenty of street parking.

We shall be at that venue on the following dates:-

3rd August,

10th August,

17th August,

24th August and

31st August, all at 19.30 hours to 22.00 hours.

A kitchen will be available with the necessary equipment so we can still have coffee or tea.

Colin and I visited yesterday afternoon to finalise the arrangements and we met with Kate Hyde from S.C.S.

We shall not have our risers so it is imperative that if you have care of a wooden one, please make sure that you bring it (or them) with you. If you are on holiday for any of these dates would you please make sure that you give the riser to someone else

Just as a matter of interest, Second City Sound will be rehearsing there on Monday evenings.
